为统一全国年节及纪念日的假期，制定本办法。
These Measures are formulated to unify the holidays of national annual festivals and memorial days.
全体公民放假的节日：
Festivals on which all citizens have a day off:
(一)元旦，放假1天(1月1日)；
(1) New Year's Day, 1 day off (January 1);
(二)春节，放假4天(农历除夕、正月初一至初三)；
(2) Spring Festival, 4 days off (Lunar New Year's Eve, the first to third days of the first lunar month);
(三)清明节，放假1天(农历清明当日)；
(3) Qingming Festival, 1 day off (the day of Qingming in the lunar calendar);
(四)劳动节，放假2天(5月1日、2日)；
(4) Labor Day, 2 days off (May 1 and 2);
(五)端午节，放假1天(农历端午当日)；
(5) Dragon Boat Festival, 1 day off (the day of the Dragon Boat Festival in the lunar calendar);
(六)中秋节，放假1天(农历中秋当日)；
(6) Mid-Autumn Festival, 1 day off (the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival in the lunar calendar);
(七)国庆节，放假3天(10月1日至3日)。
(7) National Day, 3 days off (October 1 to 3).
部分公民放假的节日及纪念日：
Festivals and memorial days on which some citizens have a day off:
(一)妇女节(3月8日)，妇女放假半天；
(1) Women's Day (March 8), women have a half-day off;
(二)青年节(5月4日)，14周岁以上的青年放假半天；
(2) Youth Day (May 4), youths aged 14 and above have a half-day off;
(三)儿童节(6月1日)，不满14周岁的少年儿童放假1天；
(3) Children's Day (June 1), children under 14 have 1 day off;
(四)中国人民解放军建军纪念日(8月1日)，现役军人放假半天。
(4) Anniversary of the Founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (August 1), active-duty military personnel have a half-day off.
少数民族习惯的节日，由各少数民族聚居地区的地方人民政府，按照各该民族习惯，规定放假日期。
For festivals of ethnic minorities, the local people's governments in areas where ethnic minorities live in concentrated communities shall prescribe the days off in accordance with the customs of the respective ethnic groups.
二七纪念日、五卅纪念日、七七抗战纪念日、九三抗战胜利纪念日、九一八纪念日、教师节、护士节、记者节、植树节等其他节日、纪念日，均不放假。
Other festivals and memorial days, such as the February 7 Memorial Day, May 30 Memorial Day, July 7 Anti-Japanese War Memorial Day, September 3 Victory Day of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, September 18 Memorial Day, Teachers' Day, Nurses' Day, Journalists' Day, Arbor Day, etc., are not days off.
全体公民放假的假日，如果适逢周六、周日，应当在工作日补假。部分公民放假的假日，如果适逢周六、周日，则不补假。
If a holiday on which all citizens have a day off falls on a Saturday or Sunday, compensatory leave shall be given on a working day. If a holiday on which some citizens have a day off falls on a Saturday or Sunday, no compensatory leave shall be given.
全体公民放假的假日，可合理安排统一放假调休，结合落实带薪年休假等制度，实际形成较长假期。除个别特殊情形外，法定节假日假期前后连续工作一般不超过6天。
For holidays on which all citizens have a day off, unified holiday adjustments may be reasonably arranged, combined with the implementation of systems such as paid annual leave, to actually form longer holidays. Except for individual special circumstances, consecutive working days before and after statutory holidays generally shall not exceed 6 days.
本办法自公布之日起施行。
These Measures shall come into force on the date of promulgation.
