Start by matching the Chinese legal name and 18-character unified social credit code on the business licence. Compare the legal representative, registered address, incorporation date, business scope and company status with the supplier's contract and invoice. Then review available abnormal-operation, enforcement, court, administrative-penalty and serious-dishonesty records. A mismatch, unexplained beneficiary name, copied licence or refusal to provide the Chinese legal name deserves further verification. No single database check proves that a company is safe.

An English trading name is rarely sufficient because it may be unofficial and several companies can use similar translations. Ask for the Chinese business licence or unified social credit code. Use the address, website, email domain, incorporation date and product scope to resolve remaining ambiguity.

Active registration confirms that a legal entity is recorded as operating. It does not establish product quality, delivery performance, factory ownership, financial strength or control of a bank account. Those questions require additional records, documents and transaction controls.
